Balos Lagoon is located in the northwest prefecture of Chania, near Kissamos, 55km from the city of Chania and 17km from Kissamos. The beach of Balos has a wonderful pink shaded sand and warm turquoise waters making up a fine scenery of exceptional natural beauty.  The easiest access to Balos is by private boat tour or by the boat leaving from Kissamos or Falasarna port every day. If you wish to drive there, take under consideration that the greatest part of the road is offroad and the end you have a 30’ walk. However, in that way you can admire the wonderful landscape you see in all the famous Balos Lagoon photos.
